“Holy Moly, Stromboli”, it looks like Guy Fieri has partnered with Caesars Sportsbook and is planning on turning Arizona into Flavortown!
If Guy Fieri’s twitter video is anything to go by, then baseball, sports betting, and food fanatics will be pleased to hear that the Mayor of Flavortown looks set to bring his latest food concept to the Case Field Arena in AZ.
Thanks to the partnership with Caesars Entertainment and the Arizona Diamondbacks, the restaurant looks set to offer the full Caesars sportsbook experience with a Fieri dining twist as early as Spring 2022.
Derrick Hall, DBacks President and CEO, says, "We believe this is a rare and exciting opportunity for individuals who are driven to deliver a high-quality, high-service dining experience for guests and sports fans. This is a chance to get in on the ground level of a unique, fresh and fun concept in food, gaming and baseball at Chase Field."
All this talk of food got our experts at NYxGambling.com thinking - Caesars sportsbook is currently the most popular online sports betting destination across the Big Apple. So, Would Fieri consider bringing a piece of Flavortown to the Big Apple, too?
Retail sportsbooks have been live and legal across the state since 2019, so the first piece of the puzzle is set. However, if we were hoping to see a similar sport, betting, and dining hybrid experience, the only eligible destination would currently be Madison Square Garden. That is, of course, unless additional mobile sports betting kiosks were legalized across other professional sporting venues.
As luck would have it, State Senator Joseph Addabbo Jnr recently sponsored the NY State Senate Bill S7536 - a bill that would see online sportsbooks given the chance to set up mobile kiosks across the state at various professional venues, horse racing tracks, auto racing facilities, and so on. After receiving unanimous approval, the bill now lies in the hands of the Senate Finance Committee.
If successful, we could see sportsbooks set-up-shop in various sporting venues across the Big Apple real soon. With this in mind, provided Fieri and Caesars' latest venture proves successful, we may well see a little piece of Flavortown pop-up in the near future! Or, if not Fieri, perhaps another popular name across New York’s dining scene > would want to try their luck at providing the complete sport, betting, and dining hybrid experience!
Senator Addabbo Jnr also recently introduced bill S8412 that would allow "interactive gaming", i.e online casinos, in New York.
